Hamlet's Pain
This drone-like ambience builds up the tension as Hamlet learns about his father's murder and process his pain.

The Dumb Show
As the performers narrate the late’s king’s murder in front of everyone, the circus-like accordion music quickly distorts into distant, muffled human sounds.

Ophelia's Motif/Ophelia's Death
Ophelia's sweet and innocent character is represented by the use of harp in contrast with the grouchy, dark-sounding synth used throughout the play. Her motif subtly accompanies her presence, and is reinforced when she sings her crazy monologue.

In Ophelia's Death, the clear harp melody transitions into "underwater", muffled sounds as the news of her drowning is revealed.

Hamlet's Death into Blackout
The moment before Hamlet's death is solemn and oddly peaceful, a resolution to all the pain before. The wind whirls up as the stage goes into blackout.
